Silverfish are very primitive insects that belong to Order Thysanura. These lack wings and have a body that is flattened, thin, and coated with scales. Most have a silvery  appearance. The lifecycle of silverfish is 6-36 months. Silverfish are agile, fast-moving, nocturnal insects that generally avoid light. They are basically found in dark and peaceful places. They can also be found in numerous locations throughout the living sections of buildings, including underfloor spaces, wall voids, and roof cavities. They consume the majority of human food kinds, however they seem to favour starchy foods. They are very attractive to glue, starch, and paper.
